My name is Antwon Jackson, i am originally born and Raised in San Diego,CA and now living in Los Angeles. I believe art is a vessel of communication, taking an idea that cannot be literated in words and making into signifiers that are read and interpreted in the minds eye. I make a diverse body of work some pieces surreal and seemingly disconnected, and others on a more liberal and politically charged level. More so than anything i like to make work about the world around, urban knowledge, suburban influence, social political monsters, and the interpretation and expression of reality. Being that art is a vessel of communication i am alays looking for a new way to move ideas, through video media, painting, photography, silkscreening or collage of imagery. Last i would like to say that i believe Artwork begins to speak and communicate thoughts, where spoken language ceases to do so.
